Session: Why are Costs exploding in Cloud environments and how can a FinOps culture be set up? Abstract: In this interactive session, David will dive into the typical situation in many environments and explain how the customers reached this state of exponentially increasing cloud costs. Afterwards, he dives into the basics of FinOps, explains the basics about cloud costs growth and some steps to quickly save a lot of money. Don´t miss this one! Speaker: David das Neves has over 15 years of professional experience in cloud & software engineering and his previous employers include Google and Microsoft. Due to his history, David has technical strengths with the cloud service providers GCP and Azure and is considered a subject matter expert in the PowerShell area. He is a regular speaker at RoundTables, MeetUps, and conferences. He has recently focused heavily on DevSecOps, SRE, and cloud computing up to strategic challenges such as cloud security and FinOps. Today, he is the CEO of shiftavenue, a high-tech consulting company focusing on digital transformation and technology with an additional focus on People, Teams, and Culture, as customers won´t reach their goals without their people.
