Talks:
Sacha Morard, Founder and Co-CEO @ Edgee
Title: The reflexes of intelligence: why the future of AI lives at the Edge
Abstract: Edge computing: It’s a decentralized, distributed system, wired for speed. It doesn’t wait for permission from HQ. It just acts. To protect. To optimize. We often treat AI as a brain. But when those brains live only in the cloud, every interaction becomes a round-trip to the data center. Slow. Costly. That’s where edge computing comes in, acting as the reflexes of the web.
Speaker bio: Sacha Morard is a technology entrepreneur and executive renowned for his significant impact in the digital media and tech sectors. Morard is recognized for his expertise in web performance, cloud infrastructure, and blending creativity with technological innovation. Known for having been the CTO of Le Monde Group for six years, he then co-founded Edgee in 2024 to advance edge computing solutions.
Jason Corkill, CEO & Founder @ Rapidata
Title: Measuring what AI judges can’t.
Abstract: I will talk about the many blind spots we have when training genAI models, where we can’t reliably measure main facets of their behaviour and catch them before release. Highlighting some fun recent examples (4o being a Sycophan, Google’s failed Image Model ect.). I will then do a fun and impressive demo of collecting 10’000 pieces of individual human feedback on a model in real time during the Talk. If there is time I can additionally do a demo where we compare two volunteers in the crowd using the same tech for fun.
Speaker bio: Jason is a founder from Switzerland, a studied AI Engineer from ETH Zürich, has spent the past two years as Chief Email Officer (CEO) of his startup, Rapidata. His company works with some of the most recognized AI labs in the image and video generation space.
