Join us as we talk with Sarah Bird - Azure AI Content Safety is a new service that helps you detect and filter harmful user-generated and AI-generated content in your applications and services. It can monitor both text and image context across categories and languages and provides severity scores to help prioritize content for review. Azure AI Content Safety can be leveraged through our API, or interactive studio, as well as through built in features across products and services such as Azure OpenAI, Copilot and Bing. Sarah works to accelerate the adoption and positive impact of AI by bringing together the latest innovations in research, product, and policy to enable the use of new AI technologies such as generative AI models. As an expert in responsible AI implementation, she contributes to the development and adoption of responsible AI principles, best practices, and technologies company-wide. Sarah led the cross-company team of experts to develop the new Bing responsibly and led the Responsible AI development for Github Copilot. Sarah led the product development of responsible AI tools including Fairlearn(opens in new tab), SmartNoise(opens in new tab) and InterpretML.(opens in new tab) She is an active member of the Microsoft AETHER(opens in new tab) committee and contributed to the creation of the Microsoft Responsible AI Standard. Sarah was one of the founding researchers in the Microsoft FATE(opens in new tab) research group.
