Global AI Tashkent is the first official Global AI Community chapter in Central Asia, hosted by the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Development — a government institution under the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, tasked with coordinating the country's AI 2030 strategy. One of the Center's core mandates is to raise AI literacy and practical skills across Uzbekistan's population, making the Global AI Community our natural home. Through Global AI Tashkent, we connect local researchers, engineers, students, and curious minds with the worldwide AI movement. Our focus is hands-on, accessible knowledge sharing: workshops, hackathons, speaker meetups, and open conversations covering both foundational topics like LLMs and agentic systems, and applied AI in banking, healthcare, agriculture, and the public sector.
