Main Stage ·Azure AI Foundry - the Agent Factory
AI Agents, semi-autonomous software that can be given a goal and will work to achieve that goal without you knowing in advance exactly how it's going to do that or what steps it's going to take. This is a powerful concept for automating tasks and processes that are too complex to be easily automated with traditional software. In this session we dive into Azure AI Foundry and see how we can build agents using the Azure AI Agent Service.
Henk is a Cloud Advocate specializing in Artificial intelligence and Azure with a background in application development. He is currently part of the AI cloud advocate team and based in the Netherlands. Before joining Microsoft, he was a Microsoft AI MVP and worked as a software developer and architect building lots of AI powered platforms on Azure.
Semantic Kernel Isn’t Enough: Building Adaptive Planner-Executor Agents
Most AI agent frameworks ship with generic planner-executor loops—but real-world tasks rarely fit a template. In this talk, we explore how to design custom planner-executor architectures that make agents more strategic, adaptable, and production-ready.
You’ll learn when to break out of default patterns (like in Semantic Kernel), how to architect modular planners, route subtasks to the right executors, and integrate feedback loops. We'll also share quick examples where naive loops fail—and custom designs succeed.
Ideal for developers building agents that actually get things done in noisy, dynamic environments.
